
Dr. Karin Bilyard, DVM, DAVDC
Dr. Karin Bilyard grew up in the NW suburbs of Chicago. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University. She was commissioned into the United States Army Veterinary Corps in 2007 and currently serves as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves.
Dr. Bilyard brings years of experience performing clinical and emergency care for working dogs and small animal pets. She completed her small animal veterinary dental residency at MVDS and is currently the department head for the small animal team. Dr. Bilyard is the clinical consultant for veterinary oral health within the Department of Defense and is passionate about improving treatment and prevention of tooth trauma in working dogs.
Dr. Bilyard is married to a Navy veteran who currently teaches high school mathematics. They have three children, a dog and a cat. The family keeps her busy with sports and cheer, but she also enjoys traveling, gardening, and time outdoors in the sun.
